12 Step Internet Recovery Program

We LOVE technology and all the conveinence it offers.  But we also know it can be a distraction from the important things in life.   The key thing is balance.  I have to remember #12 as I spend many many nights working online, but I also found that is the most productive times for me….I know several people that have the same problem…

I found this online and thought it would be fun to share

12-Step Internet Recovery Program:
1) I will have a cup of coffee in the morning and read my newspaper like I
used to, before the Internet.
2) I will eat breakfast with a knife and fork and not with one hand typing.
3) I will get dressed before noon.
4) I will make an attempt to clean the house, wash clothes, and plan dinner
before even thinking of the Internet.
5) I will sit down and write a letter to those unfortunate few friends and
family that are Internet-deprived.
6) I will call someone on the phone who I cannot contact via the Internet.
7) I will read a book…if I still remember how.
8) I will listen to those around me and their needs and stop telling them to
turn the TV down so I can hear the music on the Internet.
9) I will not be tempted during TV commercials to check for email.
10) I will try and get out of the house at least once a week, if it is
necessary or not.
11) I will remember that my bank is not forgiving if I forget to balance my
checkbook because I was too busy on the Internet.
12) Last, but not least, I will remember that I must go to bed sometime …
and the Internet will always be there tomorrow!

How do you balance technology and life?  Do you have think you have an internet addiction?

Dinner At Dockside Marina

This past Saturday evening we had a great dinner with great company at the Dockside Marina Restaurant in Virginia Beach.  If you haven’t been there yet it is located on Shore Dr right over the Lesners Bridge with an amazing view of the Chesapeake Bay.  And if you are a seafood lover…the seafood is as fresh as it can get!  But make sure that you save room for dessert because they have quite the variety to choose from that you don’t want to miss!

But the most important part of the entire evening was being able to spend it and share our gratitude with our Real Estate Group staff that supports our agents, LO’s and Landmark professionals on a daily basis.

During Convention :

  • Keep your drinks in front of you at all times

Support the Housing Recovery, Extend Mortgage Loan Limits

On September 30, the cost of a mortgage could rise significantly. If this happens, many of your clients run the risk of being priced out of the American Dream of home ownership. Even worse, this could hold back the housing recovery.

We need you to share your market expertise with Congress. Well-qualified buyers don’t need another hurdle to access affordable mortgage financing.

The Real Show 2011 – Coach Jackie Leavenworth

2011 The Real Show - Virginia Association of Realtors

2011 The Real Show October 7 – 8 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

We got to chat via Skype Video Chat with one of the featured speakers Coach Jackie Leavenworth.  She will be speaking on “It’s A Price War To The Door”  and “Let’s Face It

It’s A Price War To The Door!  Every good agent knows the language of a listing – “cozy” beats “small”; “natural setting” beats “in the middle of nowhere”  But the best agents go beyond cliche descriptions – they know the difference between “pricing” and “positioning” and between “comparables” and “competition”  Get smart:  Learn to make your listings shine, and gain a competitive edge for your marketing.

We look forward to seeing you all there and networking and learning from as many REALTORS.  Thanks to Virginia Association of REALTOR® and Hampton Roads REALTOR® Association for putting together another great convention!
